Fight back against social emotional & behavioral health programs in our public education system.
Sacramento should not decide what child 'emotional regulation' looks like. Grading and coddling kids on feelings instead of facts leads to under educated outcomes and a declining graduation rate. Children's emotional preparedness and readiness must be between the child's parents or guardian and their family therapist. For far too long local schools have gone astray from basic education, and the data is crystal clear, Social Emotional & Behavioral Health programs for kids in the classroom DO NOT WORK. I will fiercely fight against "Woke Mind" Legislators and the CTA Lobbyist who advocate for these programs. Additionally, I will fight against programs and grant funds (like the California Community Schools Partnership Program) that are paving the way for Medical, Behavioral, and Wellness Clinics on each school site. Many schools in District 1 are already treating our kids without parental knowledge or consent. School Administrators and Educators are even going out of their way to hide these services from parents, while secretly partnering with MediCal in keeping parents completely in the dark.
District 1 infrastructure is long overdue for replacement and lasting repairs. Having vast experience in the construction industry, I understand how fragile our infrastructure is and how crucial these structures are in our everyday lives. I plan to collaborate and partner with other CA Legislators, as well as lobby to Congressional Leaders in DC, to address and fund our deteriorating roads, dying parks, failing water / wastewater lines, and outdated treatment plants. Our tax dollars pay for these services to be in well working order, and I intend to make sure they are sending your money to where it is needed most.
Investing in future generations by promoting innovation is critical for our rural way of life. Reducing regulations on private business has proven to spur economic growth all across the Nation. Sacramento must to come to grips with the fact that weighted regulatory laws and policies have driven businesses out of our great state. I will not only demand our Legislators loosen regulation, but I will heavily pressure the entrenched bureaucracy to back the hell off. District 1 does not need nor responds kindly to power hungry egos that abuse their enforcement duties.
It is important that District 1 has a strong constant voice reminding Sacramento of our "God Given" Constitutional rights. I have every intention on making sure your voice is heard and your rights are not infringed upon.
Sacramento legislators are crippling California's private energy sector across the board. Extreme laws regulations and overtaxing corporations that provide District 1 with the vital energy it needs has to swing back to reality before it's too late. Skyrocketing electric, natural gas, and petroleum rates are killing our rural way of life. We should not have to choose between keeping the lights on or feeding our loved ones. I will help bring these leaders back to the negotiation table, and try to bridge the gap between Sacramento and the private energy sector in every category - Solar, Hydro, Natural Gas, Petroleum, Nuclear.
California up and down the entire state has vastly mismanaged our most precious resource - Water. California is abundant with water, yet Sacramento continues to legislate our water out into the ocean while our local farms and communities suffer. I will continue the good fight for common sense water storage. Sacramento must start the construction of Sites Reservoir (or as I would like to call it LaMalfa Lake.) Additionally, as a current board member for the Enterprise Anderson Groundwater Sustainability Agency I see first hand that Sacramento is trying to measure our local groundwater so they can not only steal it from our local communities, but also charge us for using our own groundwater. I clearly see their tactics and will fiercely defend our ability to maintain local controls.
Legitimate and Illegitimate (Non-Governmental Organizations) NGO's have been sucking the taxpayer monies dry. Sacramento Legislators as well as the entrenched bureaucracy have been recklessly handing out billions with no oversight and no accountability. Waste, Fraud, and Abuse have become Sacramento's new normal. California will not survive on this trajectory. I will spearhead putting an end to this reckless spending, and introduce legislation that promotes transparency and accountability. Tax payers should be able to easily track where every dollar is spent all the way to final service rendered.
